Breast Augmentation; (Augmentation Mammoplasty) 

Done to enlarge and/or enhance the breast using a breast implant . This is a relatively safe procedure. So far there is no evidence that breast implant can cause breast cancer. It is more  difficult to read mammogram in breast with implants. It can be done under either local or general anesthesia.  The  incision is usually made around the areola, armpit or at the crease under the breast  to make the scar  inconspicuous . It does not affect lactation since the implant is positioned behind the breast tissue underneath the pectoralis muscle.

Breast Lift

Done to raise and reshape sagging breast. During this procedure, areola size may also  be reduced. Sometimes    there is a need to insert a breast implant to increase firmness and size of the breast. This can be  done in-patient or out-patient, general or local anesthesia.

Breast Reconstruction

Breast reconstruction is done after mastectomy for breast cancer or severe fibrocystic diseases of the breast, trauma or burn. This is usually in-patient under general anesthesia.  Breast reconstruction involves either tissue expansion, breast implant insertion or reconstruction with autogenous tissue from the back or abdomen. Additionally, microsurgical breast reconstruction can be done with  free flap transfer  and micro vascular repair . At a second stage nipple and areola reconstruction and/or  modification of the size and shape of the newly reconstructed breast.

Breast Reduction   (Reduction Mammoplasty)

Surgical Procedure to reduce the size of the breast. It removes an appropriate excess of  breast tissue and skin, making them  smaller , sharper and firmer. The nipple areola complex is positioned proportional to the rest of the breast mound. It is done under general anesthesia.
